Wet but wild photos at Oia (Thu 1)

Well a day of lousy weather in paradise. Drizzle part of the day and big winds all of it. We - especially the older we - had hoped to do the 3hr walk around the caldera rim from Oia to Fira but the weather was too poor. We did find time to taxi to Oia and look around and take lots of artistic photography. Oia has too many vowels but is Crazy photogenic. Found a Japanese couple who had heard about the photogeneity and soldiered on getting wedding photos in the bitter wind ... luckily she had a snoopy towel to drape over her shoulders between shots! 

Back at Fira we had our most refined lunch from about 3 til 5:30pm! The waitress told us how to make mushrooms vin santo (olive oil, onions, mushrooms, touch of cream and the wine). Most of us watched the original "Night at the Museum" movie which helped explain the third in the series we had watched a couple of days earlier.
