Perisher has a base elevation of 1700 and a height gain of 300m. Sierra Nevada village is at 2100m and the height gain to the top is 1300m. Merryn and Michael skied it pretty much from top to bottom this afternoon and are open to compliments. Pretty awesome and Merryn, who was least keen on skiing initially, is becoming rehooked. Following pictures shows top from mid station and second shows the view from the top.
It's almost all beginner/intermediate which suites us. By local standards a poor season for snowbunnies, but for us it makes no difference as with the extra artificial snow keeping the pistes in great nick, there is more snow than we can handle and it is probably keeping the excess visitors away. We have all worn helmets courtesy of the Felsteins advice. Michael also thinks he is getting admiring looks for his vintage ski pants - 30 years old from his trip with Corny. Michael has also so far lost gloves, his glasses and taken the wrong skis on separate occasions... Overall we were much more expert today and we had a group lesson from Victor to make sure. Weather maxing at 8degrees and mostly sunny has really helped.

Great skiing guys but I'm sorry to say not as good as our Pyrenees!!! We are still commenting on the tapas!! What a fantastic time we had together! We will always be grateful! Jenny xx
