Snow Merchandising (Thu)

BMW is very keen on getting our custom through high technology. They have set up a slalom run on the piste which videos your run from at least three cameras. They also record all your day's activities. How? ... every gate you go through reads your individual lift pass which can be registered in their site.

Below is Michael's day 2 where you can see the lift entry points by elevation and time - the bottom one is the village, the middle elevation at 2700m is midstation from which many of the lifts leave. Total vertical height and km skied, then a link to the slalom video below. With such a great website, how can we resist buying their car? Or can we?

  1. Ahhh! A winning combination of technology ,charts and fast cars...too tempting for Michael...Perhaps the glorious experience of getting down the slopes in one piece will have to do for Merryn & the girls...meanwhile back in 36 degrees at Quakers Hill Steph & I have been floating around in your rather green pool- enjoy the lovely cold snow while it lasts...

  2. Fantastic Michael you were in statistical heaven. Wouldn't be much point in introducing this tech down at Perisher... it would just look like somebody flat-lining
