Afterwards Meg read us Paul's plea to the Athenians from Acts 17 on nearby Mars Hill (the Aereopagus). A Rick Steves tour of the ancient Agora (central market place) included a look at some interesting things like voting devices to ostracise someone from Athens (go for a majority with a quorum of 6000 people to banish them for 7 years), or a child's pottery potty seat. We managed to hold off eating lunch (pictured) until the barely civilised time of 2pm. Shopping, eating, resting, then dinner including "best tzatziki ever" with a band at our nearby square.
